Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 7th March, 2018: Siliguri girl Sunanda Paul created history by winning the Akashvani Sangeet Pratiyogita Puraskar 2017 in Rabindra Sangeet Category. This is one of the most prestigious music awards given to the upcoming best singers in different categories throughout the country. Sunanda Paul is one of those along with fellow North Bengal singer Alipurduar’s Nilanjana Kahali. The award function was held in Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University’s Ambedkar Hall on 23rd February 2018.

Sunanda is the second daughter of Mr. Sushanta Paul and Smt. Tripti Paul, residents of Siliguri’s Subhashpally. Sunanda wants to become a playback singer and for that reason, she is currently training hard in music. Presently, she is a student of Prof. Swastika Mukherjee of the Biswa Bharati University of Shantiniketan. Sunanda was initially trained under her father Mr. Sushanta Paul and later she did her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Music from Biswa Bharati University. TNI congratulates Sunanda for her achievement and wishes her a better music career ahead.
